Technology & Techniques

Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD)

A method for installing underground utilities with minimal surface disruption, allowing installations under obstacles like rivers and roads.

Benefits

  • Precision and flexibility
  • Minimal surface impact
  • Cost savings due to speed and reduced need for digging

Process Outline

1

Digging sending/receiving pits

2

Drilling pilot hole

3

Cutting and pulling pipe through

Pipe Ramming

A pneumatic method for driving pipes underground, suitable for hard-to-excavate areas under roads or rivers.

Process Outline

1

Positioning

2

Driving

3

Soil removal

Pipe Cracking (Pipe Bursting)

Trenchless pipe replacement method that breaks existing pipes and replaces them with new pipes along the same path.

Use Cases

  • Expanding pipeline capacity
  • Replacing damaged pipes

Thrust Boring

Ideal for laying pipes and cables without surface disruption in confined spaces.

Machine Specifications

Thrust boring machines work with pneumatic drilling at 6 bar pressure, making them suitable for various ground conditions.
